How fanfa.dev handles your personal information.

I (the developer behind fanfa.dev) take your privacy seriously. I am a solo developer from Brazil, and I believe in transparency about how your data is handled. This policy explains what data I collect and how it is used.

1. Data Collection and Usage

I collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide and improve the service.

Authentication (Clerk)

We use Clerk to handle user authentication. When you sign up, Clerk collects your email address, name, and profile picture (if provided) to create and manage your account.

Payments (Stripe)

We use Stripe for payment processing. If you make a purchase, Stripe collects your payment information. I do not store your credit card details. Stripe provides me with the status of your payment so I can unlock features for you.

Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the application. This helps me verify which features are useful and where improvements are needed. PostHog captures:

  • Page views and interactions
  • Browser type and device information
  • Usage patterns

Error Logging (Sentry)

We use Sentry to track errors and crashes. If the app encounters a bug, Sentry sends a report containing technical details (like stack traces and device info) to help me fix the issue quickly.

2. Data Sharing

I do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared with the service providers mentioned above (Clerk, Stripe, PostHog, Sentry) only as necessary to operate the service.

3. Data Retention

I retain your account information for as long as your account is active. However, to manage storage costs:

  • Free Plan Shares: Content shared via public URLs on the free plan is deleted after 15 days.
  • Inactive Content: Content that has not been accessed for more than 90 days may be deleted.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Export your data.

5. International Transfers

As I am based in Brazil and use international service providers (like Clerk, Stripe, PostHog, Sentry), your data may be processed in countries outside of your residence. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
